    The smaller end of Atlas Copco mobile compressors is designed for road and public works contractors, public utilities and municipalities who need compressed air in the range of 32 to 185 l/s (67 - 392 cu.ft/min) at pressures from 4 to 14 bar (29-204 psig) to power breakers, chipping hammers, sandblasting and other equipment.

     The bigger compressors are found in the mining, quarries and large construction industries.  High pressure compressors - up to 30 bar (435 psig) are specially designed for down-the-hole drilling, pile driving, sandblasting and tunneling. Units above 30 bar ( psig) are mainly used for high pressure pipeline testing, clearing transmission pipelines, down-the-hole drilling and offshore applications.
